The part of summer I do enjoy is prepping for winter months by canning the veggies I pick up at the farmers markets. Last year due to selling the house and moving, we were unable to do any canning or freezing of veggies. This year will be different as I have already started the process.
The first item that we started was dill pickles. 23 pints of spears and chips already cut and ready to use as soon as the pickling happens in about 4 weeks.
